RLI’s terrifyingly terrific take on Halloween

This year’s Halloween celebration was one worthy of the silver screen, as RLI employees embodied their on-screen personas perfectly last October 28th, when we had a Scary Good Halloween right at the office.

Each department was asked to show up in their best movie-inspired looks, and the office was

fairies (both good and evil), ghosts out on a haunt, a few dolls come to life, even more Dalmatians (though a bit short of a hundred and one), some men (plus woman!) in black, zombies on a train, and a gang of violent misfits. And oh – did you happen to see the Family Madrigal?

The day was truly all about the wonder and courage that Halloween brings out in everyone. The I.T. (Men in Black), Raw Materials (Encanto and 101 Dalmatians), Regulatory (The Bride of Chucky), and Warehouse (Train to Busan) Departments gave their cinematic best as they took on each of their characters.

In the end, three departments stood out with the execution of their selected film. The HR department was truly magical in their version of Maleficent, complete with the fairies and even Sleeping Beauty herself. The Accounting Department, on the other hand, chose the heightened reality of The Purge as they brought their colorful and chaotic counterparts to life.

No one was ready for the Admin Department’s performance, however. They really conjured up a scare with their costumes, and took Halloween to the next level by starring in their own trailer for The Conjuring. We all had a good laugh (and a few screams) while watching everyone’s submissions that afternoon, after bonding over some Halloween treats.

This year, everyone stepped up and came as their most creative selves. What frightful delights might the RLI employees have in store for next year?

For now, that’s a wrap on Halloween 2022!

The 1920’s, when Jazz music was at its golden years, alongside the infamous prohibition era that shaped the glamorous and chic lifestyle of the decade was fittingly celebrated last December 14th, 2018, at Lietz Industrial Complex by the RLI team with A Gatsby Christmas theme.

The event was officially opened by Mr. Oscar A. Alvarez, RLI Consultant, and expressed his proud remarks on the amount of preparation that each and every one has exerted for the event. As part of the tradition, the new members of the RLI family were encouraged to present their talents either individually or as groups, which were recorded and showed to everyone.

Unlike the previous years, the highlighted performers during the night were composed of vocal belters from RLI itself, which stunned the viewers with their superior vocal prowess and overflowing stage confidence delivered through the tune of a medley of Christmas songs. This year’s Christmas party has also witnessed a rare moment of recognition to some of the employees who have been part of the company for decades.

Service Awardees include Mr. Fernando C. Dimas (25 years), Mr.  Richard P. Palacios (20 years), Ms. Jepsy D. Pacheco, Mr. Ronald I. Delos Santos, Ms. Elvie G. Banate (10 years), Mr. Garret A. HalloWooood! RLI’s Fantasy Take on the Halloween Trick or Treat 2018

From last year’s HALLOworld, to this year’s HalloWoooood, the RLI employees once again, dug-up a coffin-full of creativity and energy during the RLI: Trick or Treat 2018, last October 26th. The theme for this year’s event was patterned to some of the most celebrated Hollywood fantasy-horror movies,

which were assigned to eight (8) groups, composed of various RLI departments.

Bags of treats for the RLI Team.

As with the previous Halloween celebrations, each group prepared their costumes in the most resourceful way as they possibly can, while aptly being aligned to the specific movie theme that their group was assigned with. The movie themes include Hotel Translyvania, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Coco, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Mummy, The Addams Family, and the Lord of the Rings.

To complete their vibes of their well-crafted costumes, each group had prepared a one-minute presentation, which is also part of the panel of judge’s assessment for the best group and individual costumes.

The Best Group Costume Award was bagged by the Coco group, which was portrayed by RMD 1. Addams Family Group by RMD 2, and Ghost Busters by Admin Department won the First and Second Runner-Up Awards, respectively. Individual Best Costume Awards were bestowed to five (5) males and females with the most creative outfits for the event. All winning groups and individuals received cash prizes.

Adorned with colorful and perky costumes of fruits, vegetables, and other healthy food items, the children of Villa Paraiso Daycare Center received the RLI representatives with beaming smiles and balls of energy during their Nutrition Month Program last July 31, 2018. Parents, teachers, and representatives from Barangay Sun Valley also gathered together to watch the kids show their talents while in their well-crafted outfits.

The RLI team which was spearheaded by the HR Department, was composed of volunteers from different departments of the company. This year, RLI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for Nutrition Month included bags full of nutritionally dense foods and vitamins. The idea behind the contents of the

bags was to guide the parents in their grocery listing by ensuring that low-cost yet healthier options for their rapidly growing children are always available.

“I was so delighted when I saw the contents of the bag especially the vitamins! My kid just finished his bottle yesterday, and were supposed to buy another one on my  pay day”, gleefuly remarked by one  dad during the event.

Rudolf Lietz, Inc. is keen in pursuing more CSR projects in the future, especially with the success of the preceding missions around the community that the company belongs to.
