Rudolf Lietz, Inc. Celebrates the Holidays with a Flash of White Christmas

Despite the heavy rain pouring all over the Metro, members of the undeterred RLI family and its affiliates were nonchalantly celebrating the festive season with an array of glitz, glamour, and absolute fun last December 8th, 2017, at the Lietz Industrial Complex. With a White Christmas theme for this year, the event was attended by all employees of RLI who have effortlessly sported dazzling suits and dresses, accompanied by a smorgasbord of good food, and fine entertainment.

RLI President Mr. Rudolf J.H. Lietz opened the event with a timely reminder to everyone to celebrate the things that we rightly cherish, and share happiness with people who are undergoing difficult times in life.

“Being with our family, friends, and neighbors whom we don’t see often— the Christmas season is an opportunity for us to spend quality time with our loved ones. And with hearts full of hopes and love, it’s also the season to share something to the people around us, and renew our appreciation to gift giving, especially from all of us here in this evening who are fortunate enough to be joyous on this occasion.” remarked by Mr. Lietz in his speech.

As part of its Christmas tradition, all new members of the RLI family were tasked to prepare live and recorded group presentations, to showcase their talents in different fields. Newbies were grouped into three according to their talents, and planned their performances weeks before the event.

“It was fun! Especially during practices. Though the planning stage was so tedious, we were really pleased that we still managed to pull-off decent performances.” said by one of the employees.

Following the hearty dinner and the heartwarming performance from the Psalm of David Harmonic Orchestra was the speech from the CEO of Rudolf Lietz, Inc., where she grabbed the opportunity to present a recap video of RLI’s activities and accomplishments during the year.

“We have successfully achieved all the things that we have planned and targeted this year. Congratulations to everyone!” said Mrs. Lietz after the video presentation.

One of the highlights of the evening was the acknowledgement of the employees who have been in service to the company for years. On that night, two recipients were recognized for being part of the company for 5 strong years. Ms. Louchel Almeda, BU Regulatory Supervisor and Ms. Cynthia Ilagan, Logistics In-Charge of the Warehouse Department were awarded by the Executives, together with Ms. Georgina Bondoc, Process Manager of the HR Department. Service awardees were given certificates of recognition and cash incentives as tokens of appreciation.

Employees who have turned heads with their stunning outfits during the event were also recognized. Three (3) best dressed men and women of the evening’s white and silver theme were secretly assessed, and have all received prizes from the judges. It was then followed by the drawing of the twelve (12) lucky major prize winners.

Mr. Alexander R.J. Lietz, Vice President for Business Development of RLI gave his closing remarks thereafter, where he reiterated his reminder that each member of the RLI team is not working for the Lietz Family, but for their own hopes and dreams.

“You get-up early in the morning, which is a very hard thing to do. Travel to the office, work well, and earn for yourselves and your family. It’s all for your hopes and dreams. And for that, all of you deserve the right to have fun tonight.” said Mr. Alexander Lietz.

The evening was capped-off with the traditional singing of Auld Lang Syne, where everyone joined hands together to form a great round circle around the venue, symbolizing unity on the years to come.

Apparition of Fun and Laughter Spotted during RLI’s HalloWorld 2017

Embellished with spooky decors, hearty snacks, and bags of treats, RUDOLF LIETZ, INC. celebrated once again the Halloween season this year with a theme “HalloWorld: RLI’s Halloween Trick or Treat 2017”, last October 27th. RLI employees enthusiastically participated in the event and donned their well-crafted petrifying costumes, demonstrating the supernatural folklore from all the continents of the world. The employees were divided into seven groups, representing the countries of the continent that their group randomly picked. Employees adorned the office with their colorful and quirky costumes, while doing their daily work routines even before and after the event.

Aside from costumes planning and designing, each group also prepared a short presentation that was uniquely formed from the blend of diverse cultures of the continent that they were assigned with.

The event was spearheaded by the HR Department, and was aided with the artistic hands of the volunteers.

The winner of the group presentation is the RMD 3 group, representing the ancient vampire families of medieval Europe. The second place was secured by the RMD 2 group, which presented a cultural dance number while in their Asian zombies-inspired attires; while the third spot was held by the group of personnel from the Accounting, Finance and Management Team Departments, who gave a dance number inspired by a hit Mexican telenovela, while in their traditional Mexican/Aztec outfits.

Individual Best Costume Awards were also handed to two (2) male and female contestants, who wore the best Halloween-inspired traditional costumes during the event. All group and individual winners received cash prizes.

Rumor has it that the theme for next year’s Halloween celebration will be TV-series inspired. Nonetheless, the organizers assured that the next year’s event will be at par, if not better, than the HalloWorld 2017.

RLI Instigates CSR Project Anew Through a Weeklong Feeding Program

Following the successful Christmas party for the cherubs of Star of Hope Daycare Center in Barangay Sunvalley last December 2016, Rudolf Lietz, Inc. had decided to pursue another outreach project through a weeklong feeding program for their new batch of pupils. The initiative which spanned for six (6) school days started on August 11th and continued on August 14th-18th, 2017, brought a throng of healthy, yet child-friendly meals that benefited the same daycare center.

The meals, which were planned by an RLI dietitian, included high concentration of protein and micronutrients in the ingredients which are crucial to the overall development of school-age children.

Just like the previous outreach program, the volunteers, who are composed of RLI employees, have taken a short morning break from their daily work routines to spend time with the children during their lunch time inside the school. Parents were also seen to be so enthusiastic about the program, and flocked the school premises to see what’s in store on the menu for the kids.

“I would like to also see the meals that are being served to the children so that I can apply those on my son’s daily packed lunch”, according to one of the parents spectating through the school window.

Gracing the last day of the program was Brgy. Sunvalley Councilor Edwin Baduyao, who also energetically assisted in the distribution of the meals. A warm message of gratitude was also delivered by the Councilor to the volunteers and RLI itself.

“We are absolutely grateful to the help that Rudolf Lietz, Inc. has provided for these little children of our Barangay. We hope that you will never grow tired in helping our community”, said Councilor Baduyao while handing the certificate of gratitude to the RLI team.

Overall, the social outreach feeding program by RLI nourished about 71 children, coming from the two classes that daycare center has.

In pursuit to a more extensive and meaningful CSR projects, topped with the success of the preceding missions, Rudolf Lietz Inc. is now keen in more social outreach program for the benefit of the community, and beyond.
